Last updated: June 1, 2026
Healthonnews ("we", "our", "the site") operates the website at healthonnews.com. This policy explains the information we collect from visitors, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. By using the site, you consent to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Information you give us directly — when you subscribe to our newsletter or send us a message, we collect the name, email address, and message content you provide.
- Automatically collected information — like most websites, our servers and our analytics providers automatically receive standard log information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy for details on the cookies set on this site, including by third-party advertising partners.
How we use information
- To deliver and improve our editorial content and site features.
- To send our newsletter, if you have subscribed.
- To respond to messages, tips, and correction requests.
- To analyse aggregate traffic patterns and improve performance.
- To serve and measure contextual advertising, including via Google AdSense.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to abuse or technical issues.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display ads on this site. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.com.
Third-party vendors and ad networks may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies. Their use of these technologies is governed by their own privacy policies, not by ours.
Sharing of information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the site (hosting, email delivery, analytics, advertising), with legal authorities where required by law, and with a successor entity in the event of a business transfer.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing or request data portability. To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@healthonnews.com.
EU/UK residents (GDPR): our lawful bases for processing are consent (for the newsletter and certain cookies), legitimate interests (site operation, security, analytics), and legal obligation where applicable.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.
Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, or as required by law. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe; analytics data is retained in aggregate form.
Children
Healthonnews is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
